Dear All,

First of all, a huge thank you for your kind messages of encouragement. We were very touched by your response to our last e-mail. We now feel ready to take on any challenge!

It is with great pleasure that we confirm our installation (barely a month ago) on our small vineyard in the Languedoc. The estate is called Bourdic, after the stream that runs alongside it, and is located in the commune of Alignan-du-Vent (just outside Pézenas).

We hope you will come and visit us! The area is beautiful and there is even a nice hiking trail that crosses the estate.

The farm now covers about 8 hectares, of which 5 are planted with vines. The vineyards have been farmed organically for over 20 years, and part of the vineyard is even a pilot for agroforestry.

The main grape varieties are typical of the region: Grenache (white, grey and black), Syrah and Cinsault.

The wine from this estate, classified as IGP Côtes-de-Thongue and AOP Languedoc, has already won several awards, and we hope to continue this wonderful adventure as successfully as our predecessors!

We have already planned many things: gradual expansion to allow the planting of new grape varieties, continuation of the agroforestry project, work on the building to allow the organisation of events… in short, a lot remains to be written and it is very exciting!

In the meantime, we are already preparing our first harvest (with a few blisters on our hands, of course, but also a new red tractor… while waiting for the girls’ unicorn!)

What a strange year to make wine! Covid, vine diseases, climate… winegrowers have not been spared, particularly with the frosts in April, and our farm has also been affected. It is mainly the white varieties that have suffered, but we remain optimistic that there will be enough to produce good wine! And then, who knows, maybe it will encourage us to put into practice this year an idea that we have been thinking about for a long time and that we will tell you about very soon.

We wish you all a nice day and a wonderful holiday.

See you soon for the continuation of our adventures!
