Where do we come from?
We are Sarah and Aymeric Discours, two former lawyers who made the choice, in 2021, to leave our lawyer-dress and Parisian lifestyle to work the vines in Languedoc.
We both grew up in or near wine regions, in France (Var, Jura, Burgundy, Alsace and Médoc) but also abroad (especially in South Africa), and have long been passionate about wine and the cultivation of the vine. It is no coincidence that in 2009 we celebrated our wedding in the middle of the Monbazillac vineyards.
The Côtes de Thongue vineyard
Our estate is located in the Côtes de Thongue vineyard, in the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon wine region.
The Protected Geographical Indication Côtes de Thongue, which bears the name of the Thongue river which crosses the sector, covers the territory of 23 municipalities of the Hérault.
The landscapes are hilly, plains being covered with small hills called “puechs”, at an altitude of less than 100 meters, and swept by the winds: the Tramontane and the Marin. The climate is Mediterranean, with very low rainfall (less than 600 mm on average over a year), mild winters and hot, dry summers.
Our production
You will find here all the products we have created since our arrival at Domaine du Bourdic.
Our range, entirely organic, consists of four wines: a “blanc de noirs” (white wine from black grapes), a rosé and two reds. The names we have given to these wines are references to our former life as lawyers
