1134

£8,00

1134 is our first rosé wine. Created by direct pressing from mainly Cinsault, Grenache Blanc and Grenache Gris grapes, but also, although in very small quantities (about 1% of the total), from Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon which give it its strawberry heart / rose petal color, 1134 has a nose of currant, vine peach and verbena, and develops delicate notes of small red fruits: cranberry, strawberry and cherry. It is an organic wine, like all our wines, with a tonic and thirst-quenching mouthfeel.

The name of this cuvée, 1134, is a nod to our former life as lawyers. Among the most emblematic articles of the Civil Code is the old article 1134. “Old” because the numbering of the Civil Code changed in 2016, but the weight of habits meant that we never really got used to the new numbers… Article 1134 sets out cardinal principles of French contract law, including that of good faith. This is one of the first articles that budding lawyers work on. A perfect name for one of our first wines, made in good faith.
